We Have Joined Turkey’s Biotechnology Valley Project

We have joined the Biotechnology Specialized Organized Industrial Zone (BİOSB) project, whose construction has begun in the Tepeören region of Istanbul’s Tuzla district, with our site mobilization structures. The total area of the structures we installed across the project’s main site using our new-generation container structures reached 1,764 m². The project, which also includes modular container cafeterias and offices, comprises a total of 74 unit blocks.

The container units we installed for the Biotechnology Specialized Industrial Zone were designed as single-story structures. Our structures, prepared according to a detailed plan, were delivered to the construction site at regular intervals. As the pre-manufactured container units were positioned on-site, they were made ready for use.

Container site offices offer a highly efficient system for projects spanning over time. Investors can place production orders for site containers as needed. This allows them to spread mobilization costs over time, gaining an advantage in budget financing. At the same time, it provides the opportunity to use the construction site more effectively.

Biotechnology Specialized Organized Industrial Zone (BİOSB)

The Biotechnology Specialized OSB is being constructed in the Tepeören region of Istanbul’s Tuzla district. The BİOSB project is being carried out under the leadership of BİYOSAD and in coordination with the Ministry of Industry and Trade. Major investors will operate within the project with a wide range of products.

The BİOSB project is planned to serve as a production hub for products in the biotechnology sector. For this reason, the Ministry of Industry and Trade also attaches special importance to this project. The goal is for this specialized OSB, which targets high-value-added production, to become one of the key players in our country’s economy. BİOSB investors also have the opportunity to benefit from incentives under the Technology-Focused Industrial Initiative Program.

High-Value-Added Biotechnology Products

The most significant distinguishing feature of BİOSB is its aim to increase high-value-added biotechnology production. High-value-added production plays a crucial role in closing the current account deficit, which is projected to reach $25 billion by 2025. The Biotechnology Valley will particularly provide a significant boost to Turkey’s pharmaceutical sector.

Proximity to Universities and TÜBİTAK MAM

The geographical proximity to Gebze Technical University, Kocaeli University, and the TÜBİTAK MAM research centers is among BİOSB’s key advantages. Additionally, the Biotechnology Valley is located within Turkey’s largest industrial zone. It offers a rich variety of production support facilities. The clustering of biotechnology firms within the same OSB will undoubtedly create a unique synergy.
