Tourism companies solve the accommodation problems of their employees with fast installation and safe steel houses. BOF Hotel located in Bursa Uludag, one of the important centres of winter tourism, is one of these companies. Personnel accommodation is among the important problems in these areas where there are no accommodation areas other than tourism service facilities such as hotels and social areas. There is no transportation to the tourism facilities, which are 12 km from the nearest part of the city centre, except for shuttle buses. Especially in the winter months when the facilities reach full occupancy, transportation can be delayed due to snowfall. During this period, it becomes difficult for the personnel serving with a shift system to reach the facility. There are disruptions in services. To prevent this, tourism facility managements use the advantages of prefabricated buildings.
BOF Uludag Hotel, which offers service with the slogan ‘Hospitality is an Art’, preferred Karmod steel houses for the accommodation of its employees. Three separate houses designed in a combined structure plan were built within the facility area. Each of the houses with a total project size of 102 m2 has 34 m2 plan. Each house can accommodate hotel employees consisting of 8 people. The total capacity of the three houses is 24 people.
The winter season is extremely harsh on the ridges of Uludağ, known for its winter tourism. Especially the hotels region is among the places where snowfall is frequently experienced during the season. Steel houses can be installed even in harsh winter conditions with the advantages of its prefabricated model. The on-site installation of the tourism accommodation houses designed in November 2018 was completed in just 17 days. Steel houses can be built without the need for concrete, except for the ground on which the installation is made. According to customer preferences, special steel construction systems can also be applied without using any concrete on the ground.
BOF Hotel employees had an important privilege by having steel houses specially built for their accommodation. Unfortunately, many tourism facilities do not have such luxurious accommodation facilities. Tourism employees are forced to stay in the houses they rent with their own means or in unhealthy accommodation prepared for them by the administrations. However, steel houses specially prepared for BOF Hotel personnel were built with Karmod expertise. They have the advantages of maximum width interior spaces, building safety and air conditioning. Employees are very happy in these special houses where they experience the warmth of home. They reflect the motto of their organisation ‘Welcoming Guests is an Art’ to their guests with happiness rather than a slogan.
The houses, each of which is 34 m2 in size, were designed and constructed as adjoining order in a style that can be expressed as triplets. Each residence is entered through a stylish veranda in the centre. When you enter through the main steel door, there are two separate halls of the same size on the left and right. In each hall, four people can be accommodated in the best ergonomics. Shower and WC units are placed in the centre of the door entrance of the house.
