Djibouti Free Zone Office

As Karmod, we have added another new prefabricated building project that we have realized throughout Djibouti. We have completed and delivered free trade zone customs office commissioned by Djibouti government. Customs officers will be serving in our prefabricated office building as central building of Africa’s largest free trade zone.

The office building we installed within the scope of this project with our panel system prefabricated building model has a size of 185 square meters and is considered as one of the most luxury concept offices of the country with its structural style. For aesthetics and insulation of the building, application of parapet and appliance of stone-patterned coating on the exterior was carried out. The office building, which was pre-produced in Turkey, has been shipped to Port of Djibouti and to installation site from there by sea. The installation was completed in a short span of 12 days by our expert teams prepared in the site on the day the shipment was completed. A customs team of 20 people is on duty in Prefabricated Customs Office right now.

For Djibouti, our ready-to-use office buildings, which offer an innovative style with the advantages of more modern appearance and faster installation compared to traditional construction methods, are the new favorite of the country. Our structures can be installed in a short span of time with bolt-nut and snap-on systems without the need for other construction materials and craftsmen. More than that, it has long-lasting construction class and price advantages.

With the free zone where our customs office building is preferred to be placed, it is aimed to facilitate trade with the neighbors of the country, Somalia, Eritrea and Ethiopia, and with its location close to the Bab el-Mandeb region, which is located at a strategic point at the entrance of the Horn of Africa, Red Sea and Suez Canal from the Indian Ocean. Bab el-Mandeb is the 4th largest sea route in the world with an annual traffic of 30 thousand ships and Djibouti became the gateway for 90 percent of Ethiopia's imports after the war between Ethiopia and Eritrea.

Our last ready-to-use office project for the free zone office has taken its place among the many ready-to-use projects we have completed across the country thus far. Apart from the construction site buildings, we have carried out building projects such as Telecommunication office building and resort hotel in Djibouti. In a country where Karmod buildings are well known, our new projects continue to increase every year.
