We established construction site buildings to be used in the luxury housing project to be realised in Istanbul Pendik Tavşantepe in partnership with Kiler REIT and Biskon Yapı A.Ş. The buildings designed with Karmod new generation container model will be used as dormitory buildings by the construction site workers.
The dormitory building installed for Kiler Biskon Pendik project has 336 personnel accommodation capacity. The main purpose of Karmod container dormitory buildings is to provide the best comfort to everyone sheltering. For the project, the employees who leave their homes and families to pursue bread money are provided with the comforts of home. In order to provide this purpose, Karmod container buildings have many prominent advantages such as ergonomics of use, insulation superiority, fire safety.
Karmod dormitory container structures produced with wall to roof sandwich panel system have the best air conditioning comfort in summer and winter use. While providing home comfort to the engineers and inhabitants with its insulation performance, it also saves energy for the project investor. Karmod dormitory buildings carrying the international occupational and labour health and safety standards with their superiority give confidence to the occupants. With this security, the project owner supports the investor to sleep comfortably at home without leaving his eyes behind.
The container dormitory buildings prepared for the project consist of two blocks. Each block has three floors. On each floor, 14 bedrooms (labour wards) have been made ready for use. Two WC and Shower units, each with 7 separate units, were placed on each floor. Toilets and showers are located at the beginning of the corridor where the entrance and exit areas start in both directions. Fire and smoke sensors were installed in the rooms, corridors and toilet and shower areas of the dormitory building. The electrical system of the container dormitory buildings was designed in special software computer programme with Karmod expertise. It was ensured that the applications were realised faultlessly with the quality control inspections carried out in the field installation together with the production. The electrical system, the last controls of which were carried out in the field after the installation, was tested and delivered in full fire safety.
There are 84 separate bedrooms in the construction site container dormitory building constructed in Istanbul Pendik for Kiler Biskon project investment with Karmod expertise. The bedrooms can be arranged as bunk beds or single beds for workers' accommodation. The rooms are entered through the door opening to the corridor. When the door with special sheet metal panel system is closed, air circulation that may cause energy loss inside is completely eliminated. In the area facing outside the building opposite to the door direction, a transom window was placed in occupational safety standards. The window contributes to the healthy ventilation of the interior with half opening. In the 21 m2 dormitory rooms, switches were placed at the door entrance with the best ergonomics. Sockets were positioned according to possible bed layouts.
The project, which will be realised on an area of 90.053 m² in Pendik, Istanbul, will be carried out by Kiler GYO-Biskon Yapı A.Ş. Business Partnership. The preparations for the project are continuing. Within the scope of the project, which will become the prestige of the region, 24 or 26 luxury residences will be constructed.
