Engin Koç, a sought-after face on the runways of the 1980s and 90s, is spending his retirement in the tranquil neighborhood of Ömerli in Istanbul. He purchased a Karmod home and is enjoying a happy retirement there.
Engin Koç also brought his friendships into his retirement life and had four separate Karmod homes built on a plot of land he and his friends purchased in Ömerli. These independent houses were built side by side using the Karmod quality and expertise and each measures 64 square meters. The houses, which stand out with their ergonomics, were designed in a 2+1 plan. With a good planning of site installation organization, the front gardens of the houses were left with abundant greenery. The large garden area positioned side by side with the houses can be used in a spacious manner.
Purchasing four separate homes at once brought extra advantages to the homeowners. The prefabricated homes, each built in the same area, offer additional benefits. Group-purchased prefabricated homes provide significant savings on transportation, labor, and accommodation expenses. For example, if each of the 64 square meter homes produced in this project were installed in different areas, four separate transportation costs would have been paid. However, when these four houses were moved to the same location at once, two transportation fees remained in the pockets of those who had homes built. This is because the four houses were transported with two vehicles.
Another important advantage is that the expert team that installed the homes only had to travel to one place instead of reaching four different locations. Other transportation expenses were left as savings for those who had modular homes built. There was no need to organize separate accommodations either. The team could stay in a single accommodation location. At the same time, the meal organization of the teams became easier. Accommodation expenses were realized with the best savings using the advantage of being in the same area during assembly and installation times.
Engin Koç, a once sought-after model in the clothing industry, made his mark in the 1980s and 90s. Born on August 27, 1959, in Istanbul's Nişantaşı district, Engin Koç completed his education at the high school level. He began modeling at the age of 16. When he won the 'King of Models' contest in 1976, he was only 17 years old. The jury members of the contest included Cüneyt Arkın, Sezen Cumhur Önal, Ajda Pekkan, and Seyyal Taner.
Having been married and divorced twice before, Engin Koç married actress and tourism entrepreneur Pınar Kavrak in 2011. The couple have a son named Burak.
Engin Koç, who enjoys retirement in his modest and beautiful home in Ömerli away from the entertainment life, expresses his outlook on life with these words: "Money is a good form of energy, but it didn't work for me. I am someone who is in touch with nature and lives day to day. I had no desire for money. I have lived better than those who have a lot of money."
