İÇDAŞ Steel Biga Facilities Dormitory Building

We have constructed a factory dormitory building for the Çanakkale facilities of İÇDAŞ, one of the leading industrial enterprises of Turkey. It was constructed on behalf of İÇDAŞ Çelik Enerji Tersane ve Ulaşım Sanayi A.Ş., which was designed in 726 m2 size in a two-storey plan built with prefabricated building system.

The dormitory building to be used by the personnel working at İÇDAŞ Biga facilities has a capacity of 272 beds. The installation of the dormitory building, whose pre-production was completed in Karmod production facilities, was completed by our expert teams in İÇDAŞ Biga facilities in 23 days.

Best Ergonomics in Home Comfort in Bedrooms

İÇDAŞ dormitory building has the best air conditioning performance with its ward ventilation system and insulation at international standards. The factory prepares energetic environments for its employees to rest. With the comfort provided by ergonomics, it contributes to employees waking up the next day with rest. While giving them the comfort of their homes, it provides important support to increase factory working efficiency.

34 Separate Bedrooms Under One Roof

İÇDAŞ dormitory building has a total of 34 separate bedrooms, 14 on the ground floor and 20 on the upper floor. The bright rooms arranged on both sides of the floors are supported by passage corridors. The bedrooms are provided with natural light with large windows positioned on the exterior facade directions. The rooms can accommodate 4 personnel at the same time with the use of double bunk beds.

A part of the ground floor is prepared for shower and WC units. There are 11 shower and 10 WC units on this floor. Entrance to the ground floor is provided from the narrow facade. The exit to the upper floor of the factory dormitory building is given from the outside in order not to cause narrowing in the interior space. The upper floor is accessed from the narrow façade and the rooms are accessed from the corridor after the main entrance.

Breathable Ventilation Grilles

Natural ventilation is extremely important in factory and construction site dormitory buildings. After an intensive working day, when the employees come to the dormitory, the sweat-induced odours in the human body affect the inside of the building. Extra ventilation grilles are placed in the roof system of Karmod dormitory buildings to eliminate this situation. Thanks to the ventilation grilles, unpleasant odours inside the building can be easily discharged.

İÇDAŞ Steel Energy Shipyard and Transportation Industry Inc.

İÇDAŞ Steel Energy Facilities are located in Çanakkale Biga district, 40 km from the city centre. Located on a large area on the Marmara Sea coast, İÇDAŞ has steel mills, rolling mills, ports, shipyards and energy facilities. Supported by a logistics company, the plant is located in Güneşli, Istanbul.

Exporting a large portion of its production, İÇDAŞ has an important position in the Turkish industry. İÇDAŞ Biga integrated facility has a shipyard and 2 piers and docks for loading and unloading. There is also a coal plant in the complex.

İÇDAŞ Biga production facilities have a closed circuit water cooling system to prevent water waste. One of the most important features of the facility is the production of iron by recycling scrap materials. While making a significant contribution to the transformation, the scrap is subjected to radiation screening with 6 fixed door detectors and 6 portable detectors in order to control possible environmental risks.
