We constructed the steel office building for Turkey’s largest motorcycle development center

Honda Safety Turkey, Turkey’s largest motorcycle development center, chose Karmod for the training office building and other structures in its newly opened training facility.

The training facility, built on a spacious 12,000 m² site in Maltepe, Istanbul, features a 144 m² steel-frame office building serving as the main administrative building. Built with Karmod expertise in a new architectural style and with high structural safety, the steel office stands out with its stylish appearance. There are three separate training rooms inside the office building. A spacious hall, where Honda corporate products are also displayed, and a technical room are among the areas inside the office. The toilet areas, including a disabled WC, are located at the back of the office.

Cafeteria enjoyment in a new generation container

One of the structures Karmod has built at the center is the cafeteria building. Constructed using a new generation container model, the structure measures 4x10 meters and has a spacious 40 m² hall. The interior of the cafeteria is furnished with stylish furniture by Honda Safety. Those attending training at the center relax in this cafeteria during breaks and enjoy unlimited tea and coffee.

The Metropol Security Cabin, exclusive to Honda Safety

Another structure built at the center is the security building located right at the entrance of the facility. The structure, which utilizes the Karmod Metropol cabin, has an interior space of 9 m². The security building has been designed to provide staff with an optimal ergonomic working environment. The interior is also equipped with camera systems to facilitate staff duties. The structure adds a unique touch of beauty to the facility with its modern design.

Honda Safety Turkey Becomes Turkey’s Largest Motorcycle Development Center

The Motorcycle Development Center, opened in Maltepe in March 2022 by Honda, the world’s largest motorcycle manufacturer, holds the title of Turkey’s largest motorcycle development center with its 12,000-square-meter track. Honda, which has held the title of Turkey's best-selling motorcycle brand for seven consecutive years, supports its “Safety for Everyone” slogan with the training provided at the center.

The Development Center, which for the first time in Turkey offers the opportunity to work in two different areas, both asphalt and dirt, will be open to all motorcycle enthusiasts, whether they have a license or not. In addition to motorcycle riding, courses are offered at seven different levels, including passenger riding and off-road riding. At Safety Turkey, the facility—spanning 12,000 square meters, with 5,800 square meters of asphalt and 4,200 square meters of dirt—aims to serve over 2,000 people annually.

Honda, which aims to raise awareness that a motorcycle is a safe and enjoyable mode of transportation when used correctly, has served over 22,000 people to date at the Honda Motorcycle Development Center it first opened in 2005 in Şekerpınar, Kocaeli.

Honda, which has touched the lives of over 12 million people worldwide in the field of traffic safety for nearly 50 years, works with Safety Türkiye to promote a healthy increase in motorcycle usage while also aiming to help reduce accidents caused by motorcycle riders. At the Honda Motorcycle Development Center, led by a team of experts, a wide range of topics are covered, including static riding techniques, braking exercises, slalom, offset slalom, turns, various cornering techniques, balance exercises at low speeds, riding on uneven terrain, stopping and starting on hills, maneuvering on hills, panic braking, and evasive maneuvers. At the center, which allows for riding on both asphalt and off-road surfaces, training is conducted on the asphalt track using Honda CB650F and CBF150 models, and on the dirt track using the Honda CRF250L model.

The only requirement for those wishing to develop their motorcycle riding skills at the Honda Motorcycle Development Center is the ability to maintain balance and ride a bicycle.
