Container Infirmary Building for GSP, Energy Actor with Drilling Rig Fleet

We built an infirmary building with our new generation container structures for Grup Servicii Petroliere (GSP), one of the actors of the energy sector with its offshore drilling rig fleet. GSP Offshore is a Romania-based company affiliated to Upetrom Group. With its activities, it serves the energy sector with its offshore drilling fleet in different parts of the world.

Combined container infirmary building installed in Constanta port area

The infirmary building, which was demounted with Karmod combination container model, was installed in the facilities of GSP company located in Constanta Port of Romania. 230x600 and 230x300 demounted container units were used for the installation of the infirmary building with a total size of 210 m2. The container units, the production of which was completed in Karmod modern facilities in a short time, were loaded on the lorry and set off to Romania. When the units reached Constanta port, Karmod installation team prepared in the region completed the installation in 3 days and put into service.

Fastest Installation in Karmod New Generation Container

Karmod new generation container provides the advantage of fastest installation for all construction needs from construction site to office with its fully screwed plug-in system. Welding application which puts building safety at risk has been terminated in Karmod new generation container. All joints from panel to roof are made with bolt nut and plug-in system. Karmod new generation, which turns into an advantage with its installation speed, reaches the highest level with its building safety.

The best solution for emergency health buildings is container

Container structures are the best solution for health facility structures such as pandemic hospitals, outpatient clinics and infirmaries that need to be installed urgently. Container structures produced with new generation technology can be easily shipped to every region of the world with pre-production with disassembled parts. With the advantage of the bolt-nut and plug-in structure system, they can be installed within days or even hours and made ready for service. Just like in this project. The installation of the 210 m2 infirmary building, which will provide health services in Constanta port for many years, was completed in just 3 days.

About GSP Offshore

Grup Servicii Petroliere (GSP) operates as a subsidiary of Upetrom Group, based in Romania. GSP serves the energy sector with a fleet of 6 offshore drilling rigs, 6 supply and personnel transport vessels and 100 tonne cranes. GSP is also carrying out installation works in the SASB gas field offshore Turkey.

GSP also has three modern marine construction workshops in Constanta, in the ports of Constanta Nord, Midia and Constanta Sud - Agigea. The container infirmary building will be used at GSP's headquarters in the port of Constanta. The headquarters, where GSP carries out modernisation and renovation projects, includes a training centre, workshops, a welding training centre and a certification facility.

Among the major projects undertaken by GSP, the Dzhubga - Lazarevskoye - Sochi natural gas pipeline project stands out.

Akcakoca Project is also among the prominent projects in which GSP is involved. In May 2022, GSP signed a marine drilling services contract with Park Place Energy Turkey, a wholly owned subsidiary of Trillion Energy, for the 2022-2023 drilling programme in the South Akcakoca Sub Basin (SASB) gas field. The Akcakoca gas field is located approximately 14 km offshore at a depth of 95 metres. As part of the Akçakoca Gas Project, three new directional wells were drilled utilising GSP's standalone modular drilling rig GSP 31 to fabricate, transport, assemble and install a 4 leg jacket on two previously drilled wells AKC-3 and AKC-4. The rig will also be used to maintain the wells.

GSP laid 12‘’ and 7 kilometres of subsea pipelines and made connections to the existing offshore pipeline system to transport gas produced from the field from the Akçakoca platform to the Çayağzı gas processing plant near the Akçakoca town.
