With our construction site structures, we took our place in the construction process of Darülaceze Social Service City, one of the important social projects of Turkey.
As Karmod, we are proud to take part in such an important project as the Darülaceze Social Service City project established on an area of approximately 150 thousand square metres in Arnavutköy district of Istanbul.
The total size of Arnavutköy Darülaceze Social Service City construction site dormitory buildings designed with new generation container construction system is 2.547 m2. 3 separate blocks where 540 workers working in the project will be accommodated were installed in a short period of 12 days and started to serve.
Container construction site buildings produced with the new generation technology we developed as Karmod provide the comfort to the workers in their homes. The 3 blocks, each of which are produced and installed with the same comfort, were designed in the same plans. Each block rises on three floors with dormitory rooms and WC and shower facilities.
On each floor of the Darülaceze dormitory buildings, which are entered from the front narrow façade, the bedrooms are lined up as 5 on each floor. There are a total of 30 construction site dormitory rooms in one block, 10 on each floor. Again, at the entrance of each floor, 7 WC units on the right and 7 shower container units on the left were included in the plan. In three blocks, 90 separate dormitory wards were prepared, each of which can accommodate 6 people in the best ergonomics. Throughout the project, 63 WC and 63 shower units were completed with ready-to-use washbasins.
The intermediate corridors of the three-storey construction site blocks can be opened out from both sides. The exits in both directions also function as fire escapes.
Darülaceze Social Service City is being built in Arnavutköy, Istanbul as a project of the Ministry of Family and Social Services.
Founded in 2022 by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, Darülaceze Social Service City has a capacity of 23 blocks and 1068 beds on a huge area of 150,000 m².

The facility includes a social service city where all kinds of needs will be met for the residents of Darülaceze and children under protection. The facility will include living spaces for healthy or bedridden people and children under protection, as well as artist and athlete living centres. A 500-seat mosque, a church and a synagogue, a village café in the city square and a restaurant are among the highlights of Darülaceze City.
