We set up prefabricated site mobilization structures to be used in capacity expansion works at Turkey's largest water treatment plant.
The prefabricated mobilization structures, consisting of 5 blocks, were installed and delivered for use in the Capacity Increase Project of the İvedik Drinking Water Treatment Plant, a project of ASKİ, an institution of the Ankara Metropolitan Municipality.
The prefabricated construction site structures we installed will serve during the construction phase of the 4th unit of the Ivedik Drinking Water Treatment Plant, which will provide a long-term solution for Ankara's drinking water supply.
Karmod prefabricated construction site structures are the preferred choice for infrastructure projects, as well as all other areas, due to their ergonomics and comfort. We have also taken our place in this important project in the capital city of Ankara with our construction site structures. We delivered our 5-block construction site mobilization, with a total size of 1,434 m², to the project site by installing it.
As part of the project, we constructed three separate office buildings, along with dormitory and dining hall buildings. The construction site management office is 677 m² in size, and we built two additional office buildings of 174 m² and 142 m² respectively. We constructed a 361 m² dormitory building on the construction site for workers who will be staying overnight during the project. One of the structures prepared within the scope of the project is an 80 m² prefabricated dining hall building.
The construction phase of the prefabricated site mobilization structures, consisting of 5 blocks, was completed in a short period of 28 days. With the organization of our professional assembly teams, we succeeded in delivering the buildings within the scope of the project ahead of schedule.
Located in the Yenimahalle district of the capital city of Ankara, the ASKI Ivedik Drinking Water Treatment Plant began its first phase of construction in 1984. As the plant's capacity needed to be increased over time, the second phase of construction began in 1992. Finally, with the third phase, whose construction began in 2014, the goal is to meet Ankara's drinking water, domestic water, and industrial water needs by 2020. Initially planned as four phases, the plant consists of a total of four phases, each with a capacity of 564,000 m3/day. The tender process for the plant was completed in 2025, and construction of the fourth phase has begun. The fourth phase is expected to be operational in 2027. With the new unit coming online, the plant's daily treatment capacity will increase from 1,692,000 m³ to 2,256,000 m³.
The ASKI Ivedik Drinking Water Treatment Plant has a total of seven water intakes: three at the Kurtboğazı Dam, two at the Kesikköprü Dam, and two at the Çamlıdere Dam.
