BAU International Batumi University Faculty of Medicine Building Project Completed in 45 Days

We built an additional education building to be used as the Faculty of Medicine at the International University of Batumi, which was commissioned in 2016 within BAU Global.

The installation of the 1840 m² building built within the university campus in the capital city of Batumi was completed in a short period of 45 days.

Reflections of Karmod Technical Office Expertise on the Project

The prominent feature of the building, which is designed in Karmod technical office as two storeys, is the presence of 3 metres of elevation height on each floor. In addition to this, the building model is using prefabricated press panel system. Achieving this elevation height in the press panel system requires significant knowledge and expertise.

Faculty of Medicine to Serve 900 Students

There are a total of 14 classrooms in the Batumi Faculty of Medicine building. There are 10 classrooms with a capacity of 50 students, 5 on the ground floor and 5 on the first floor. In addition, there are 4 classrooms with a capacity of 100 students, 2 on each floor. The total student capacity of the school is 900.

There are also 4 laboratories, two guesthouses and administrative halls in the prefabricated building of the Faculty of Medicine.

Completed in 45 days with a team of 15 people

The production of Bahçeşehir University Faculty of Medicine building was completed in Karmod facilities and shipped to the university campus in Georgia with 17 trucks. From the installation of the building to slat coatings, exterior and interior painting works were completed in 45 days with Karmod team of 15 people ready for use. Karmod prefabricated buildings provide great convenience in the construction of projects with its innovative system that minimises labour.

About BAU International University Batumi

BAU International University Batumi was opened by BAU Global and started to educate its first students in the 2015-2016 academic year. Batumi University became the 3rd university of BAU Global after Washington D.C. and Berlin.

The university, which had a capacity of 300 students in the first year it was opened, has significantly increased the number of students with the new medical faculty building built by Karmod.

BAU Batumi International University carries out a three-tier education and research mission by highly educated academic staff, state-of-the-art technologies, laboratories and classrooms. The university implements an American model education programme of international standards. Teaching at the University is carried out by foreign and Georgian professors invited from different educational institutions. A new International University Hospital is also located on the campus. This hospital provides the medical students of the university with the opportunity to gain clinical experience from the first year of their studies.

BAU International University of Batumi teaching process is carried out in partnership with Bahçeşehir (Istanbul) University and Medical Park, which has an extensive network of hospitals throughout Turkey.
