Another New Container Office Project for Akkuyu NGS

As Karmod, we continue to carry out new construction projects at the Akkuyu Nuclear Power Plant (NGS) site.

We have constructed a container office building at the ongoing Akkuyu Nuclear Power Plant construction site in Mersin. Designed with a two-story modular container model, the office building will be used by the Russian AAEM Turbine Company, which is responsible for installing the power plant's steam turbines. The company's entire team of engineers specializing in nuclear turbines will be stationed at the container office building.

We transported the containers, which were pre-manufactured in four units at our modern facilities in Istanbul Tuzla, to the site. Our two-person site installation team completed the installation, including the roof covering, within three days and delivered the building.

AAEM Turbine Technologies

AAEM Turbine Technologies, a Russian company, provides engineering services for reactor technologies in its country and for international projects. It supplies and installs turbine equipment for nuclear power plant projects. AAEM delivers turnkey solutions for the engineering, production, and on-site installation of nuclear power plant turbine equipment. The company's products for nuclear power plants include turbines, generators, auxiliary systems, heat exchange equipment (humidifiers, condensers, air separators, HP/LP heaters), piping, and valves.

AAEM's Role in Akkuyu NGS

As is known, the Akkuyu NGS project is being carried out under the main contractor of Rosatom State Nuclear Energy Company, a state-owned enterprise of Russia. The engineering, design, acceptance, and supply of the steam turbine equipment for the project were carried out under the guidance of engineers affiliated with AAEM. The installation of the turbine generator rotor, a large-scale equipment weighing approximately 245 tons, was carried out using the main bridge crane of the turbine building.
